Last week, the Licata Group donated $3,000 to the Triad Guardian Alert Pendant Program. Licata Group has pledged to continue to donate this amount on a yearly basis provided business revenue will allow.
The Guardian Alert Pendant Program provides a device that will allow someone with mobility issues to contact 911 if they should fall, be unable to get to a phone, and be unable to recover. It can be a lifesaving device for those who are prone to falls. The program typically issues 30 devices a year to citizens in Orange County. The cost of providing those units falls around $6,000 currently.
The Licata Group is challenging other area businesses to donate to this program and collectively match their donation. If you would like to donate, there are several ways you can do that. Applications open April 1, 2021 at 12:00 a.m(PST) Deadline: September 30, 2021 at 11:59 p.m(PST) Eligibility: Applicants must be 18 years or older and the company must be owned by a U.S. citizen and incorporated in the United States. The business must be in the design field, defined as interior design; graphic design; industrial design; architecture; landscape design; or fashion design. The business must be an early-stage business, meaning you have launched in the past 12 months and are working to grow a customer base; or a growth-stage business, meaning you launched over 12 months ago and are working to scale your operations. The business must not exceed over $1 million in revenue, annually.

Meet the minimum eligibility requirements and complete the application for the award by the application deadline.
Provide up to a 500-word statement describing how you would use the funds to support your business.
Design a “mood board” via Pinterest of your ideal workspace using Chairish products and provide the link to your board.
