Warning Gun for First Race 10:55AM. Sailors from around the Washington area are expected to compete in this race!

Representatives from Comcast to Address LOW Community Concerns

Representatives from Comcast will be the featured speakers at the LOW Civic Club meeting, Wednesday, April 25th. The meeting will be held in the Great Hall of the Clubhouse beginning at 7 p.m.
The speakers will include a technical expert to explain how the system works, an individual with expertise in Xfinity services and a Comcast business representative. Comcast has been the primary provider of Internet services at Lake of the Woods since it took over from Adelphia in 2005.
The April meeting also will include the election of officers to serve on the Civic Club’s Board of Directors. The officers serve for a one-year term beginning on May 1st, 2018.
The LOW Civic Club hosts monthly speakers and provides an open forum where property owners can learn about issues which affect their lives, interests and investments in the LOW community. The Civic Club hosts speakers including Association officers and management, state and local government officials, Orange County School leaders, and other experts that touch on lives at Lake of the Woods. Each July, the Civic Club hosts an informal event to meet the candidates running for the LOW Board of Directors. In August, it co-sponsors a reception with the LOWA Board to recognize the many volunteers that serve on LOW committees.
The motto of the Civic Club is “Be Concerned, Be Informed, Be Involved.“ Everyone is welcome to attend all Civic Club meetings. Voluntary annual family memberships are $5/year.
Before or after the Civic Club meeting consider having dinner at the Clubhouse. You are welcome to bring your drink form the restaurant to the meeting.

Mark your calendar! The Spring LOW Community Open House will be held on Sunday, May 6 from noon to 4 PM. Visitors come from near and far to view properties in LOW. The pet your paint class fee is $30 and includes all materials.
You must provide a photo of your pet and they will provide a pre-sketched canvas ready for your child to paint & take home! It is one-day after school program open to all primary & elementary school aged children.
The deadline to register for Paint Your Pet is Friday, April 6th. Space is limited and you MUST pre-register and provide a photo of your pet in advance. Spots fill up quickly so register BEFORE April 6th to truly reserve your seat! If you do register after the deadline, you will be charged a $5 late fee.
