Lake of the Woods Residents! Are you ready for an Adult-only Wine & Beer Luau? Come out to the Clubhouse pool on Saturday, July 8th from 7pm – 8:30 pm for some kid-free fun. Tickets must be purchased in advance online here, or by calling 800-595-4849. There will be a 50/50 drawing and fundraiser for the purchase of benches for the shower area in the Clubhouse Pool restrooms. Tickets are $25 per person entry fee and include 2 glasses of wine or beer and snacks. It will cost $5 for each additional glass of wine or beer. May 27th, 9:30 AM – 3 PM Strawberry Fest (yum!). Last year there were over 900 attendees!
Sunflower Festival occurs for two weekends starting at the end of August. Guests are invited and welcome to photograph the beautiful sunflowers or create a spectacular bouquet of more than 30 varieties of sunflowers. The festival also includes live music, food, hay wagon rides, and more!
Sunflower Weekend 1, August 26th from 10 AM – 5 PM, August 27th from 11 AM – 5 PM.

Gobbler Hill Farm located at 17354 Carrico Mills Rd, Elkwood VA 22718 is hosting various Spring family-friendly events. Warm weather = fun activities! Start off April 1st, 2023 at 11am by bringing your kids and friendly dogs by for an Easter Egg hunt. There will be kids’ crafts and even an ADULT Easter Egg hunt! Fun for everyone! This event is hosted by Jeepin for Paws & the Jadiebug Tobster Foundation.
Saturdays, April 15th and 29th will be KITE days! Bring out all your favorite kites, and enjoy making them fly in the sky with the other participants.
Every 2nd Friday, from May to September from 3 pm – 8 pm, the Farmer’s Flea & Flower Market will be held. Come check out various vendors with crafty items available to purchase. You’re welcome to bring your own goods to sell at this flea market event. Everyone loves Taco Tuesday, but what about Taco and Beer Saturday? The FXBG Taco & Beer Festival will be taking place at the Fredericksburg Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 13th, from 11 am to 4 pm.
