The Soggy Doggie event is such a great way to close out the final days of summer and a wonderful ending to close down the pool season. Best of all, we are given an opportunity to watch these dogs enjoy themselves and have so much fun at the pool! Bring Fido to the Sweetbriar Pool (110 Sweetbriar Park Rd, Locust Grove, VA 22508) on Sunday, September 12 between 1pm – 3pm for the chance to close out the summer in the Lake of the Woods’ pool! Grab your pooches and bring them for what is sure to be a blast for all! Registration including proof of vaccinations is required. Pre-registration is available here. Humans will not be allowed in the pool with the dogs, and Owners are responsible for clean-up duty. The Lake of the Woods Adaptive Watersports Foundation is back and ready to host the SmileS Adaptive Carnival!
This Carnival brings water sports to people with disabilities of all ages and walks of life, as well as their families. The Carnival is held in honor of 2 highly honored women who left this world too young. What sports will be featured? There will be adaptive waterskiing, tubing, pontoon rides, kayaking, paddleboarding, and additional fun outdoor games! This year, LOW is partnering with Therapeutic Adventures – IndependencePlus Adaptive Sports to bring adaptive paddling!
This event is to take place on Sunday, August 1st at 9AM at the Lake of the Woods Clubhouse Point (102 Lake of the Woods Way, Locust Grove, VA 22508).
