FailSafe-ERA’s Mission & Programs
FailSafe-ERA’s mission is clear: to provide transformative services to families and individuals affected by incarceration, reducing recidivism rates and improving lives. They achieve this through four essential programs:
1. Right Road Reentry: Inmates returning to the community face many challenges. FailSafe-ERA offers transformative services to empower and restore hope, including case management, goal setting, substance misuse, and mental health referrals, career assessment, housing assistance, higher education opportunities, and more. Their holistic approach helps individuals become healthy, productive citizens post-incarceration.
2. Preventing Generations of Incarceration (PGI): FailSafe-ERA’s youth programs are designed to prevent the cycle of incarceration. By providing educational sessions based on cognitive behavioral therapeutic techniques, they offer protective factors that reduce the harmful impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES). These programs are essential in creating a safe and stable environment for children and youth impacted by incarceration.
3. Caring Connections: FailSafe-ERA acknowledges that the entire family is impacted by incarceration. Their Caring Connections program promotes family reunification, offers resources to those affected, and participates in outreach events to raise community awareness. This support is crucial for maintaining stability and confidence within families.
4. Additionally, FailSafe-ERA offers scholarships to individuals impacted by incarceration to address their financial needs and provide growth opportunities. The Right Road Scholarship is for returning citizens seeking higher education opportunities, while the Eugene Melvin Melchior Scholarship supports high school graduates aged 17-21 in pursuing higher education to prevent future generations of incarceration.
This Designer Purse Bingo Fundraiser is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference while having a blast.
