Soggy Doggie Swim at Sweetbriar Pool Coming in September!

The Soggy Doggie event is such a great way to close out the final days of summer and a wonderful ending to close down the pool season. Best of all, we are given an opportunity to watch these dogs enjoy themselves and have so much fun at the pool! Bring Fido to the Sweetbriar Pool (110 Sweetbriar Park Rd, Locust Grove, VA 22508) on Sunday, September 12 between 1pm – 3pm for the chance to close out the summer in the Lake of the Woods’ pool! Grab your pooches and bring them for what is sure to be a blast for all! Registration including proof of vaccinations is required. Pre-registration is available here. Humans will not be allowed in the pool with the dogs, and Owners are responsible for clean-up duty. In lieu of a registration fee, they are asking for donations of dog or cat food or a check made payable to the Orange County Animal Shelter!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for, the long-awaited fireworks from the postponed Independence Day show have been officially rescheduled for Saturday, September 4th, 2021! First, there will be a show on the Veteran’s Dam by the Ski Team starting at 7pm! Fireworks are slated to begin around 8:45 PM from the Veteran’s Dam. Car & Bike Show at Belmont Farms Distillery in Culpeper, Virginia

Visit the Belmont Farms Distillery located at 13490 Cedar Rd, Culpeper VA 22701 on Saturday between 10am and 5pm for a classic car and bike show! There will be crafters and various vendors on location, face painting, yummy food (of course!) and live entertainment!

Downtown Culpeper, Virginia’s 3rd Thursday Concerts Return!

The 3rd Thursdays are the new Fridays in Culpeper (at least during their Summer Concerts, brought to you by the Culpeper Renaissance, Inc.)! The first event is to start on Thursday, August 19th with The Reflex an 80s tribute band. They will offer a full-on retro experience with a diverse setlist of “MUST PLAY” 80s tunes.

Thursday, September 16th will feature a HIGH-energy show from En’Novation Band. They are a Richmond-based band with extremely well-seasoned singers and musicians, totaling decades of experience for your ears listening pleasure! They will be sure to light up the stage, so grab your dancing shoes, you won’t want to miss this performance.

Advanced tickets are $10 per concert and are available for purchase at various locations in Culpeper including Pepperberries (102 East Davis St), Museum of Culpeper History (113 South Commerce St.), and Oak View National Bank (405 James Madison Hwy).
