Are you ready for the first concert of the season??? New to Lake of the Woods, The Unsuitables will be kicking off the Concerts on the Point series on Friday, May 27th! The Unsuitables, formed about eight years ago, will begin at 7pm and play tunes from the Temptations to Santana to the Beatles until approximately 9:30pm. On Sunday, May 1st from 9AM to mid-afternoon, visit the Lake of the Woods Equestrian Center (located at 100 Tally-Ho Lane, Locust Grove VA 22508) for their Hunter Series Horse show. The Licata Group team with the assistance of LOW Fire and Rescue 29 will be hosting a Community Shred Day on Saturday, April 30th from 11 AM – 2PM! Just in time for the end of tax season, so salsa on over and safely and securely shred your documents! The Lake of the Woods Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company Inc posted their Santa Tracker schedule on their website. Santa will begin driving around on the Fire Truck, starting Friday, December 17th around 5pm the ride will be from the Front Gate to Confederate Cir on the marina side of the Lake; then to Sheetz, Food Lion, and Walmart parking lots. The next day, Saturday, December 18th starting about 5pm, Santa will start at Confederate Drive to the Front Gate on the golf course side; then to Sheetz, Food Lion, and Walmart parking lots. Finally, Santa will make his final debut on Sunday, December 19th about 5pm, one trip around Lakeview Pkwy then to Rapidan Rd, Wilderness Shores, and Somerset subdivisions, then to Sheetz, Food Lion, and Walmart parking lots. So wherever you will be during Santa’s visit, plan accordingly so you can wave hello to the jolly-old man in the red suit!
